கிளிநொச்சி மருத்துவமனை அருகாமைப்படுகொலையின் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு நினைவுகள் - 02.11.2006

கிளிநொச்சி மாவட்ட வைத்தியசாலை வளாகத்தை அண்மித்த பகுதிகளில் சிறிலங்கா விமானப் படைக்குச் சொந்தமான கிபிர் விமானங்கள் 2006 நவம்பர் 02ஆம் நாள் பிற்பகல் 2மணியளவில் நான்கு தடவைகள் குண்டுத் தாக்குதல்களை மேற்கொண்டன. இதன்போது 16 குண்டுகள் வீசப்பட்டன. இவற்றில் 15 குண்டுகள் வெடித்துள்ளன. கிளிநொச்சி பொது வைத்தியசாலைக்கு பின்புறம் இருந்த வீடொன்று முழுமையாக அழிவடைந்ததுடன் அதிலிருந்த ஐவரும் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர்.

உயிரிழந்தவர்களில் மூவர் ஒரே குடும்பத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் இதில் இருவர் பாடசாலை மாணவர்கள். குண்டு வீச்சுத் தாக்குதல் காரணமாக உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் வீடு முழுமையாகச் சிதைவடைந்ததுடன் மேலும் கால்நடைகள் பலவும் பலியாகியதோடு பயன்தரு மரங்கள் பலவும் அழிவடைந்தன.

மேலும் மாவட்டப் பொதுமருத்துவனை வளாகத்தில் விழ்ந்து வெடித்த குண்டினால் வைத்தியசாலை பலத்த சேதமடைந்தது. வைத்தியசாலை ஊழியர்கள் மூவரும் வைத்தியசாலையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்றுவந்த மூன்று நோயாளர்களும் காயமடைந்தனர். வைத்தியசாலையின் நோயாளர் விடுதி, பிரசவ விடுதி, குழந்தைகள் விடுதி ஆகிய பகுதிகளும் சேதமடைந்தன. இருதய நோயினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு மூன்று நாட்களாக வைத்தியசாலையில் இருந்து சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நான்கு குழந்தைகளின் தாயார் மேரி திரேசா அன்ரனி (49) என்பவர் விமானத் தாக்குதலின் அதிர்ச்சியால் வைத்தியசாலையில் மரணமடைந்தார்.

இத்தாக்குதலையடுத்து வைத்தியசாலை விடுதிகளிற் தங்கிநின்று சிகிச்சைபெற்றுவந்த 300இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட நோயாளர்கள், வெளிநோயாளர் பிரிவில் சிகிச்சைக்கென வந்த 700இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட நோயாளர்களும் வைத்தியசாலை வளாகத்தை விட்டுச் சிதறிஓடினர். நடக்கமுடியாத நோயாளரை உறவினர்கள் வந்து கூட்டிச்சென்றனர். இத்தாக்குதலையடுத்து வைத்தியசாலையின் செயற்பாடுகள் அனைத்தும் ஸ்தம்பிதம் அடைந்தன.

தாக்குதல் நடைபெற்ற இடத்தையும் இறந்தவர்களின் உடல்களையும் இலங்கைப் போர்நிறுத்தக் கண்காணிப்புக்குழுவினரும் சர்வதேச செஞ்சிலுவைச் சங்கத்தினரும் நேரிற் சென்று பார்வையிட்டிருந்தனர். இச்சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக சிறிலங்காவிற்கு நிதி வழங்கும் இணைத் தலைமை நாடுகளின் (ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியம், ஜப்பான், நோர்வே மற்றும் அமெரிக்கா) தூதுவர்கள் தமது கவலையினை வெளியிட்டுள்ளனர்.

போர்நிறுத்த ஒப்பந்தம் நடைமுறையில் இருந்த காலப்பகுதியில் பொதுமக்களின் வாழ்விடம் மீது மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட மிகமோசமான இத்தாக்குதலுக்கு சர்வதேச சமூகம் கண்டணங்களை மட்டும் தெரிவித்தனவே தவிர இன்று மூன்று வருடங்கள் கடந்த நிலையிலும் எந்தவிதமான ஆக்கபூனவமான நடவடிக்கைகளையும் மேற்கொள்ளபட்டவில்லை இறந்தவர்களின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு எந்த விதமான இழப்பீடும் வழங்கப்படவில்லை.

சிங்கள இராணுவத்தின் கொலை வெறிக்கு இரையாகிப் போன இந்த அப்பாவிகளை நினைவு கூறும் இந்நாளில் உயிரிழந்த அனைத்து மக்களுக்குமாக ஒரு நிமிடம் வணங்கவோம்.

இச்சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக மேலதிக விபரங்கள் தெரிந்தவர்கள் தங்களின் கருத்துக்களை பின்னுட்டலில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளவும். அத்துடன் இந்நாளில் கொல்லப்பட்ட விபரங்கள் இருப்பின் அவற்றையும் பின்னுட்டலில் சேர்த்து சிங்களத்தின் கோரசம்பவங்களை வெளிக்கொணர உதவுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கின்றோம்

    Two civilians were killed and two others were wounded when the Sri Lankan Army fired artillery from the Elephant Pass base yesterday morning, towards the mainland of the Vanni.

    Murugiah Nageswaran (17) of the 10th mile post in Visuvamadhu and Vettivelu Suthan (22) of Punnaineeravi, Visuvamadhu were killed in the army shelling.

    The wounded civilians, Paramasivam Amuthan (24) and R,Thambiah (60) of Punnaineeravi have been admitted to Mallavi and Puthukudiyeruppu hospitals.

  2. Shelling kills one

    Supramaniam Thiagarajah , 55, father of four children, was killed when his house at Karuvelankandel in the Oddusuddan area was hit by a shell fired by the Sri Lanka army (SLA) said the Voice of Tigers (VoT) radio Monday evening.

    The radio said several hamlets in the Oddusuddan area have been shelled on Sunday by Sri Lankan government troops stationed in Ampagamam.

    Many houses were damaged in the shelling the radio added.

  3. Youth shot, aid worker arrested

    A youth was shot dead by the Sri lankan police in Eravur in the Batticaloa district Monday evening. The police handed over his body to the Eravur hospital at around 8.30 pm said sources.

    The police claimed that the youth was clad in military fatigues and they recovered a grenade from him. The youth has not been identified yet.

    Meanwhile police in Akkaraipattu arrested on Sunday, S.Senthurrajah, the coordinator of a local welfare organisation, in connection with the attack on a police post at Sakamam road on Saturday.

    The police claimed that he had assisted the Liberation Tigers who attacked the police post.

    He has been remanded till Friday. The police said he is being interrogated.

  4. Thinamurasu chief editor killed

    Unidentified gunman shot and killed the chief editor of the Tamil weekly tabloid, 'Thinamurasu', Atputharajah Nadarajah, 38, in Colombo around 10.30 am this morning, said sources.

    Atputharajah Nadarajah, Alias Ramesh, is also member of parliament for the Jaffna district representing the E.P.D.P

    He was travelling in a car in Wellawatte when the gunman open fire. His driver died on the spot, the sources said.

  5. Young woman shot dead in Point Pedro

    A young woman from Odai area, Point Pedro, in Vadamarachchy region in Jaffna district was shot dead near Pandaary Amman Temple in Thambachetty, 1 km west of Point Pedro town, at 3:30 pm Thursday.

    Yasothiny Narayanamoorthy, 25, was riding a bicycle near the Amman Temple when two unidentified gunmen followed her in a motorbike, shot her in point blank range and escaped, eyewitnesses said.

    The body was recovered late evening and handed over to the Manthikai Government hospital for post-mortem examinations, hospital sources said.

    Meanwhile, "Ellalan Force" claimed responsibility to the killing in a press release issued Thursday to the media stating that she was punished because of her involvement in anti- social activities.

  6. Thamilchelvan killed in SLAF air attack

    S.P. Thamilchelvan, Liberation Tigers Political Head was killed in Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) aerial bombardment Friday morning in Ki'linochchi. The Head Quarters of the Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) in a press communique said it was conveying the loss of Brigadier Thamilchelvan with profound sadness to the people of Tamil Eelam, the Tamil Diaspora and the Global Community. The Sri Lanka Air Force attack has specifically targeted the residence of the members of the Political Division.

    The Secretary General at the Head Quarters of the LTTE, S. Cheeran said the LTTE Political Head was killed in the SLAF bombardment that took place at 6:00 a.m. Friday along with Lt. Col. Anpumani (Alex), Major Mikuthan, Major Neathaaji, Lt. Aadchiveal and Lt. Maavaikkumaran.

    The LTTE has conferred its highest military rank, Brigadier, to Mr. Thamilchelvan.

  7. 5 youths shot dead in Ampaa'rai

    Five youths have succumbed to gunshot wounds after unknown attackers opened fire on them at Kurunthaiyadi in Kalmunai of Ampaa'rai district Sunday night around 9:15 p.m. The gunmen opened fire from a roadside hideout while the young men were at a liquor shop on Resthouse Road. Two youths were killed on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

    Police earlier said the youths belonged to TMVP Karuna faction. However, civil sources in the area said the youths were not members of paramilitary.

    The episode has taken place 100 meters away from Kalmunai Police station.
